The public is a powerful actor in the planning policy, however very often we do not know how to make our voices heard when the planning officer decides on an application. If we want to PARTICIPATE in LOCAL PLANNING, we should gain the power through the consolidation of individual voices into public opinion. This survey aims to find out what we think about Cothill Pitt, how we use it and how the loss of this site will affect our lives.
The more people that fill in this questionnaire, the stronger the position of Save Cothill Pitt action group. The aim is to collect at least 300 responses to get statistically significant results and publish an article in a peer review planning journal. If we succeed to prove the social importance of Cothill Pitt we will get the chance to influence the local planning policy. The article in the professional journal will add credibility to our arguments.
