How much do we know about Cothill Pitts ecosystem? You will be impressed by the wide range of species of plants and insects seen at the site. All five pages of species in the table have been recorded by the Chairman of Butterfly Conservation Dr. Jim Asher. He has being studying Cothill Pitts for many years and shared his observations with our web site. Some of the biodiversity of Cothill Pitts includes species on the Rare Plants Register for county, produced by ANHSO.
We hope to add more data into our Species Register and in this task we rely on you. If you are interested in protecting the site or just fond of ecological research – take your camera for the next walk at Cothill Pitts. We need pictures of the recorded species and information about new ones. Take pictures of plants, insects and birds during your walks and sent it to us using a simple form.
