On discovering the application case was not included on the agenda for the Planning Committee meeting due 4th March, Save Cothill Pitt action group contacted the Case Officer, Sarah Green, to seek clarification of where the case was at.
We were informed that the applicant had been advised the case was likely to be refused on the grounds of the Green Belt and ecology. This is good news for those fighting to save the site from development but the matter does not stop there.
The applicant is seeking to submit further supportive evidence. This means that although the initial consultation period for the planning application ended on 5th January the action group is now expecting there to be a second round of consultation. The original target decision date of 25th February will be shortly updated to take account of this delay.
